Govt to fill posts in RSSB, RERA, RPSC and Info Commission as time runs out
Jaipur: Appointment s are to be made on half a dozen statutory posts running vacant in the State for which many claimants are in the fray. The Code of Conduct will be imposed by the end of September and only two months are left. For the posts, the efforts of the claimants are also at their peak.
The vacant posts include Chairman RSSB, Chairman RERA, 2 members in RPSC, 2 posts of members in the Information Commission. The special aspect is that the person occupying these chairs will get a long tenure of 5 years, no matter whose government is there.
The post of the Chairman of the RSSB fell vacant due to the sudden resignation of Hari Prasad Sharma. However, his tenure was till October this year. The appointment on this post has to be immediate because in the next three months the work of examination of 8 different recruitment is to be done.
There is a meeting of the selection board for the Chairman of RERA. This meeting is to be held under the chairmanship of High Court Judge Justice MM Shrivastava.
There is a huge shortage of members in RPSC also as only 3 members are working while there should be a total of 7 members. Two posts are vacant for a long time. While Babulal Katara is locked in jail, the working members also take leaves. The big problem is holding the interviews for RAS.
Applications have also been invited for two posts in the Information Commission through advertisement and for this also there has to be a meeting of the selection board. The special thing is that the decisions in these appointments are to be made at the level of the Chief Minister. The government’s time is running out, in such a situation these decisions have become difficult.
