Govt to decide on adding Sanganer airport to rail route

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot has announced to start work from Ambabari to Sitapura in September, but the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the second phase has not been finalised yet.

The cost of the project in the earlier DPR was around Rs 6,500 crore. After this the DPR was revised in the year 2020. DPR was prepared on the basis of the concept of Light Metro. In this DPR, the cost of the project was stated to be around Rs 4,600 crore.

Now this decision is also to be taken at the government level to connect Sanganer airport in this about 23 km long route. If the airport is added then the cost may increase further.

Due to the underground corridor, the cost may increase by Rs 500 crore. The work of this phase will be done on the DMRC model only. In this model, tender is issued to select the firm and DMRC will do the work of monitoring the entire work.

The First Detailed Project Report will be stamped in the board of JMRC and after this it will be sent to the government for approval.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will issue tender after financial management and foundation stone will be laid after giving work order to the selected firm.
