Govt OK’s changes in State excise policy

Jaipur: After the approval of the Rajasthan Government, major amendments were done in the State excise policy on Sunday.

As per the order, existing allotted shops can be renewed by adding 50 per cent of the shortfall from the reserve amount.

The contractors will have to increase lifting of stock by a minimum 20 per cent for the year 2022-23. Heritage wines have been included in IMFL guarantee fulfillment. At the same time, exemption was given to licensees till 15 February 2023 for depositing dues. Central Armed Police Force will also be given facility as per BSF. In the policy, changes have been made to increase EDP of IMFL B-sec and ABP of beer by Rs 40 per carton.

Duty was abolished on Rajasthan made and India made wine. 30 per cent additional excise duty currently applicable has also been abolished. BIO’s duty slab was made telescopic.
