Government begins mulling on transfer of top bureaucracy!

Jaipur: Fresh homework regarding the transfer list of IAS is going on. On Thursday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma discussed the matter with top officials for about an hour. In the meeting held at CMO, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, ACS (CMO) Shikhar Agarwal and Principal Secretary of DoP Hemant Gera were present.

According to sources, a lot of hard work has to be done on the reshuffle at the top level. The list is also important because Revenue Board Chairman Rajeshwar Singh (1964 batch) is retiring on July 31 and a senior IAS, will have to be sent to Ajmer in his place. Usually, an IAS of ACS rank is made the Chairman of the Revenue Board. It is believed that this responsibility can be given to an officer of the 1995 batch, who will become ACS on January 1, 2025.

Principal Secretary rank IAS of 1996 batch, Rajesh Yadav is returning from Delhi and is also to be given a posting. Similarly, Manju (2016 batch), who has returned from maternity leave and has been on APO since July 15, will also have to be assigned a post.

Apart from this, it is also believed that it is considered necessary to change the top officers of a dozen departments for various reasons. Ministers of the various departments have already appealed to the CM for the change of some officers.

Sources believe that the list may come in the first week of August after the assembly session ends.
