Gehlot responds to high command via Randhawa
Jaipur: After former deputy CM Sachin Pilot levelled allegations recently, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has sent a reply on the allegations to Congress high command through state incharge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. In response CM Gehlot has said that ‘Mathur Commission was formed in 2009 to investigate the works of the previous government but HC dissolved it. Later the case was sent to Lokayukta and a subcommittee of ministers was formed to probe last 6 months of the tenure of 2013-2018. After the review of which, many decisions were cancelled.
Mining allocation was done only during BJP govt but under Cong’s pressure, were cancelled. Then many lease holders went to the HC & SC. On Feb 20, 2020, court ordered a review by forming a panel of 3 officers. This panel also recommended to cancel allotment. After Lokayukta’s inquiry-recommendation, 91 actions were taken after fixing responsibility of 55 officers-employees.’ That is why statements were issued by Cong leaders & Pilot’s proposed fast was said to be anti-party activity. Despite Gehlot briefing high command, Pilot sat on fast. Only after getting Gehlot’s answer, Randhawa asked Pilot not to observe fast.
