Gehlot, Dotasra, Pilot, others to embark on ‘yatra’ to repeat govt
Jaipur: It was decided in the Rajasthan Congress election committee meeting held at PCC War Room on Saturday that the Congress will go on an election tour as all prominent leaders will ride in a bus in the form of a chariot. In the first phase, there will be a week-long journey and prominent central leaders will also board this bus which will be equipped with all the amenities, PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra told the media after meeting.
CM Gehlot, PCC Chief Dotasra, Sachin Pilot will be together and there will be a lift inside the bus. This ‘yatra’ of Congress will be in counter to BJP’s yatra. Soon the chariot will be ready and come in front and Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will come to Rajasthan to flag off the bus.
Meanwhile, addressing the media after the meeting, CM Ashok Gehlot said that BJP wants to contest elections in the state on the basis of leaders of Delhi. “BJP has laid down its arms since central leaders will campaign for the party in Rajasthan. BJP seems to have accepted defeat as of now. We will win the elections with a huge majority,” Gehlot said. Later, CM Gehlot, SS Randhawa and Amrrita Dhawan also met at CMR and had long discussion.
Screening committee members Ganesh Godial and Abhishek Dutt, and Qazi Nizamuddin, Amrrita Dhawan, Harish Choudhary, Neeraj Dangi, Shakuntala Rawat, Ramesh Meena, Mamta Bhupesh, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Lalchand Kataria, Udailal Anjana, Govind Meghwal, Murari Meena, Raghu Sharma and Shale Mohammad, among other leaders, were present.
