Gehlot appeals to Amit Shah to get killers of Kanhaiya Lal punished soon
Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot has appealed to Union HM Amit Shah to punish the killers of Kanhaiya Lal of Udaipur at the earliest. Shah is scheduled to visit Udaipur on Friday and address party workers there. “The state government has conducted fast trials in many rape and murder cases and got the accused hanged from the court within a month, but in this case the culprits have not been punished yet.
After this heinous incident, the Rajasthan Police took prompt action and arrested both the criminals within 4 hours and maintained normalcy in the law and order situation in the entire state. The same night the Centre’s NIA took over the case as they might have got inputs about an international conspiracy behind the development. HM Amit Shah should direct the NIA to get him punished as soon as possible. In such a case, strict punishment as soon as possible within the ambit of the law will increase public confidence in justice,” Gehlot said. Showing sensitivity, CM Gehlot has met the victim’s family on various occasions and expressed his condolences, consoled them. CM gave sons of late Kanhaiya Lal govt jobs.
