Garg: AYUSH may soon get included under Chiranjeevi
Jaipur: The AYUSH system of medicine may be included in the CM Chiranjeevi scheme. AYUSH Minister Dr Subhash Garg gave hints citing RGHS while speaking in the National Arogya Mela at JECC at Sitapura on Thursday.
“As AYUSH medical service available in RGHS, on the same lines suggestion has been received to add AYUSH service in Chiranjeevi Yojana. This suggestion is very important considering the health of the common people and the growing popularity of AYUSH. This will be discussed at a higher level. Our effort will be to make AYUSH medical services available to the beneficiaries of Chiranjeevi Yojana,” he said. The four-day National Arogya Mela began on Thursday.
AYUSH Secretary Vinita Srivastava was also present in the programme. The event is jointly held by PHD Chamber, Union Ministry of AYUSH, and Rajasthan AYUSH Department. During this, there will be a brainstorm on AYUSH methods from 20 to 23 April. Renowned doctors of the country are giving free consultation on serious diseases in the fair.
Garg also raised questions on non-participation of senior officers of the Centre in the national level programme.
