Fraud detected in RGHS scheme
Jaipur: A fraud has been detected in the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme on the name of major children beyond permissible age. Around 4400 such employee-pensioners have been identified in the state who treated their children above 25 years of age under RGHS against the rules.
The action has been taken on the instructions of RGHS project director Shipra Vikram to block all such RGHS cards. The department is also now preparing for recovery of the treatment amount.
This is not the first case, a week before this, the RGHS administration has blocked RGHS cards of 2625 women personnel working in different departments who raised claim of RGHS by showing mother-in-law & father-in-law as parents. The RGHS administration has increased database vigilance after such incidents.
The benefits of the scheme are available to MLAs, former MLAs, Ministers, former ministers, govt employees and pensioners in the state.
Apart from this, licences of 29 medical stores have also been suspended for selling generic products by making them ethical, said RGHS Project Director Shipra Vikram.
