Food Safety Dept inspects 2284 places
Jaipur: Under the campaign ‘Shudh Aahar Milawat Par Vaar’ being run in Rajasthan, the Food Safety Department has created a world record by inspecting 2284 establishments in two days.
The campaign is being run in all the districts of Rajasthan under the guidance of Medical Minister Gajendra Khimsar and Additional Chief Secretary of the Department Shubhra Singh.
Food licences were checked by 98 food safety officers. Additional Commissioner of Food Safety Department Pankaj Ojha said that 1090 establishments were inspected on August 7 and 1194 August 8.
Notices were also issued for not displaying the food licence properly and for not maintaining hygiene. He said that action was taken against 57 establishments which did not have licences.
