‘Every rupee invested in healthcare will ease people's suffering & bring smiles’
Jaipur: During the Health Pre-Summit, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his satisfaction with the signing of investment MoUs worth Rs 2,157 cr, particularly in AYUSH sector. He stated, “AYUSH showcases India’s heritage and ancient knowledge to the world, with immense growth potential.” On healthcare, the CM highlighted that 88% of the state’s population is covered under a comprehensive insurance scheme—the highest in the country & announced a record Rs 28,000 cr allocation for healthcare in 2024-25 state budget. He also mentioned new policies for Pharma and Medical Value Travel to boost medical tourism.
The MoUs include plans for pharma units, medical colleges, nursing colleges, and AYUSH research centers across cities like Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, and Sikar.
Health Minister GS Khimsar stressed that the MoUs reflect the government’s policies and will create lakhs of jobs. Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secy, Medical & Health, highlighted Raj as a leading healthcare investment destination. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ambrish Kumar.
