Eight states’ ‘Foundation day’ celebrated in JPR’s Raj Bhawan
Jaipur: The Foundation Day of the eight states that is Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Puducherry was celebrated at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. Governor Kalraj Mishra congratulated all the people of the states and said that all these states are symbols of Indian culture of unity in diversity. While interacting with the local people of these states present in large numbers at the Raj Bhavan, he called upon them to work together for brotherhood and harmony. He said that the unity and integrity of the country comes first. For this everyone needs to work together.
The Governor said that today is also important because on this day the decision to reorganize the states on the basis of language was taken. He was thanked by the people of guest states.
