ED files chargesheet against four in CBI Special Court
Jaipur: Enforcement Directorate officials probing the Jal Jeevan Mission corruption case on Thursday presented a chargesheet against 4 accused in CBI Special Court. According to sources, ED has made serious allegations against Shri Shyam Tubewell Company director Padam Chand Jain, Jain’s brother-in-law and Shri Ganapati Tubewell Company director Mahesh Mittal for obtaining tenders for works related to JJM.
The ED informed the court about a scam of about Rs 500 crores through the chargesheet. Besides, the role of Mukesh Pathak, the employee of the company who provided fake experience certificates of IRCON Company, and the amount received by Pathak in exchange for issuing the certificates is also mentioned. It is said that Sanjay Badaya, a close aide of former PHED Minister Mahesh Joshi, played an important role in issuing these tenders and received about Rs 5 crore from the contractors.
