DRI seizes 2 kg smuggled gold in Jaipur, arrests 4
Jaipur: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized over two kilograms of foreign gold at the Manoharpur toll plaza in Jaipur. Acting on a tip-off, the DRI discovered that the gold, valued at approximately Rs 1.50 crore, had been smuggled from Dubai to Mumbai and subsequently transported to Jaipur using a domestic flight. Four individuals, including two air passengers and their associates, were arrested. The gold had been ingeniously concealed to evade detection. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days as the DRI continues to investigate further connections within the smuggling network.
