Don’t rely on shortcuts in life: Birla
Jaipur: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday took part in the 10th convocation ceremony of IIS University in Jaipur. The program was organised in APJ Abdul Kalam auditorium in Mansarovar area wherein the varsity Chancellor Dr Ashok Gupta presided over the ceremony.
While addressing the students, Speaker Om Birla outlined the New Education Policy - 2020 and said that whatever field you choose, you will be a empowered and enlightened women of India, who will lead the future. He also advised the students that despite living in the era of Chat GPT and Instagram, they should not follow shortcuts in life as success does not come easily.
During the convocation, 2870 girls were awarded degrees in various streams. A total of 117 students were given PhD degrees, 722 post graduation and 2031 undergraduate degrees. Similarly, 99 gold medals, 18 were given plaques, 30 were given endowments and 499 were given merit certificates.
