Discom steps up monitoring of power cuts
Jaipur: Looking at the poor condition of electricity in the state, the Discom administration gave monitoring orders to all superintending engineers after which they got into action. It has instructed officials to monitor daily tripping of 11 KV feeders in view of the rising heat.
Instructions have been given to identify feeders with high tripping and take concrete action for improvement. Monthly tripping will be reviewed in the review meeting at the level of Discom.
Along with this, instructions to send daily/ monthly feeder tripping information to SE SMUs has also been given.
Notably, at the beginning of May, daily supply stood at 1.8 million units, whereas on May 10th, it soared to 2.63 million units, record this season During this period, May 9th saw the highest recorded peak demand of 1276 megawatts.
