Denmark delegation meets Joshi; discusses water mgmt
Jaipur: A delegation from Denmark on Thursday met PHED and Ground Water Minister Dr. Mahesh Joshi at his residence here and discussed a joint action plan for mutual cooperation between Rajasthan and Denmark.
It was informed in the meeting that in the first phase of mutual cooperation, work on 24-hour drinking water supply in selected areas and reducing non-revenue water in Jaipur, Bhilwara and Nawalgarh will be done on pilot basis.
The minister stressed on running an awareness campaign to save water. He said that water has been stored through wells and stepwells since ancient times.
Louise Pepe, Director Planning, Aarhus) said that Rajasthan and Denmark will work together for integrated management, waste water management and recycling, green solutions for rejuvenation of rivers, etc.
