CS Pant leads high-power team to Guj, UP to study investment summits
Jaipur: The preparations for the 3-day mega investors’ summit, ‘Rising Rajasthan, slated to be held in December are going on in full swing at the state government level. The state government is taking significant steps to ensure the event’s success. To further these efforts, a nine-member delegation, led by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, will visit Ahmedabad and Lucknow on Monday and Tuesday.
Along with the CS, senior IAS Shikhar Agrawal, Akhil Arora, Ajitabh Sharma, Gayatri Rathore, Rohit Gupta, Nakate Shivprasad Madan, Sidharth Sihag (all senior IAS), & Reno Raj, an officer from BIP, are included in this trip, which will leave by charter plane.
On the directions of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, this team is going to Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, and its objective is to study all the aspects related to the investment summits that were recently organised in these states.
Notably, PM Narendra Modi was present at the events that were organised in these two states and will grace the event in Jaipur too. Therefore, Chief Minister Sharma aims to organise the event in Rajasthan at the same high standard as in these states.
The team will leave first for Ahmedabad by charter flight on Monday. Discussions will be held with CS of Gujarat Raj Kumar and with senior officers of the Industries department. Later on Monday evening, the team will travel to Lucknow, where they will stay overnight. On Tuesday, they will meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and other top officials from the Department of Industries.
Feedback and information at both places will be taken about the pattern on which the events were organised in these states, about the support of the government of India when the PM took part in these events, and about the role of various ministries.
As per those who have the information, investment summits were conducted during the tenure of previous governments too in the state, but the Bhajan Lal government wants to make this event unprecedented in all aspects. This high-profile visit to Ahmedabad and Lucknow is also being organised for the first time in preparation for this event.
A remarkable thing is that this time this event is being organized for 3 days instead of 2 days. Two days have been marked for cultural programmes. For this reason, there will be more involvement from the art, culture, and tourism department. Therefore, the principal secretary of this department, Gayatri Rathore, has been included in the high-power delegation.
It is also noteworthy that this ministry at the Centre is headed by GS Shekhawat, who is from Rajasthan, and therefore attempts are being made to give a fillip to the state’s tourism sector through this summit in December.
A senior officer of Industries Dept said, “The state govt anticipates a larger group of business tycoons this year, thanks to strong leadership from CM Bhajan Lal Sharma & Industries Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore. For the first time, a high-power delegation led by CS has been organised to ensure a bigger, better summit.”
