Jaipur: In what could be termed as the biggest impact of First India’s campaign against operating night clubs after midnight, on Monday, DGP Umesh Mishra instructed to put ACP Ashok Nagar on APO while also suspending Station House Officer of Ashok Nagar Police Station. The move came after First India’s reality check found night club being operated even after 12 midnight on Sunday.
Despite CM’s directions, the club was operating even after 12 o’clock in Ashok Nagar police station area of Jaipur. In such a situation, DGP put ACP Ashok Nagar on APO and SHO Ashok Nagar was suspended.
Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph had conducted a decoy operation on Saturday under Addl CP Kunwar Rashtradeep’s leadership. It was found that most of the night clubs closed after 12 midnight but in Ashok Nagar police station area, the night club was operating even after 12 o’clock. After this Biju sent the report to PHQs & action followed on ACP & SHO.
