Constable injured in firing no more
Jaipur: District Special Team (DST) constable Prahlad Singh (34), who was injured in the firing of a bike thief in Dausa, died on Friday morning during treatment at SMS Hospital in Jaipur. The team had an encounter with two bike thieves at 8.45 am on Wednesday, August 23 in Reta village of Sikandra police station area of Dausa district.
Prahlad Singh had entered the millet field in Reta village while chasing the bike thief. The bike thief had a weapon in his hand and shot Prahlad in the head. After this, the injured constable was sent to Dausa Hospital in the jeep of a finance company. After first aid, he was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur on Wednesday afternoon.
Reacting over the incident, CM Ashok Gehlot on Friday said that the Dausa incident is unfortunate. “We will write a letter to the Central Govt for a gallantry award, govt job to a kin, we will give Rs 20 lakh from the CM’s Relief Fund,” CM Gehlot said.
