Congress plays safe again; fields 15 ministers, many MLAs in list of 43

New Delhi/Jaipur: A day announcing names of 33 candidates for the Assembly Elections 2023, the ruling Congress on Sunday released the second list of 43 candidates. The party played safe again and gave tickets to 35 MLAs including 15 ministers. CM’s advisor and Former Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya has also got a ticket from Sojat in Pali. Three more women candidates have got ticket.

CM Ashok Gehlot has got tickets to half a dozen independents. However, all the MLAs of Sachin Pilot camp also got tickets. Now only the tickets of Shanti Dhariwal and Mahesh Joshi are stuck. But there is hope that finally Gehlot will settle this issue also.

In a surprise move, tickets were given to independents who saved the government. Omprakash Hoodla, Babulal Nagar, Laxman Meena, Khushveer Jojawar, and Sanyam Lodha have secured the berth.

Instead of Shafia Zubair, her husband Zubair Khan for ticket from Ramgarh. Zubair has been in Priyanka Gandhi’s team. Rameshwar Dudi’s wife Sushila Dudi has been made the candidate from Nokha.

Among women, Shakuntala Rawat, Naseem Akhtar and Sushila Dudi have got tickets.
