Cheetah tranquilized & rescued in Rajasthan wildlife operation
Jaipur: On Saturday, a cheetah embarked on an approximately 85-kilometer journey from Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, reaching Rohu Ghat of the Chambal River near Mandrayal in Karauli district. The spectacle attracted hundreds of villagers eager to catch a glimpse of the majestic predator. Upon receiving the signal from its radio collar, the Kuno National Park team promptly notified Pawan Upadhyay, Chief Wildlife Warden of Rajasthan. He swiftly mobilized forest officials in Ranthambore, Karauli, and Dholpur districts in response.
Field Director Anup KR from Ranthambore, DCF Dr Ramanand Bhakar, Karauli DCF Piyush Sharma, Sumit Gautam and rangers and forest staff of three ranges reached the spot. When team of experts from Kuno reached the spot around 3 pm, they fired a dart at cheetah to tranquilize it and caught it.
After this the team left with the cheetah. First India News was the first to report the news of this cheetah. The special feature of this entire operation was better coordination between the forest officials of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
