Jaipur: For the first time in the state, voting is being conducted from the Facilitation Centre for government employees and policemen involved in election work.

Till now service employed voters could vote through postal ballot while working on election duty. It had to be ensured that the envelope of such voter’s postal ballot was sent by 8 am on the day of counting. This process will ensure that their vote will be available for counting at the right time. Besides, the risk of vote rejection will also reduce due to verification and other work. This time, eligible journalists have also been included in the category of essential services.
- Distribution of voter slips is starting soon. What are its features?
This time a slip with QR code will be given so that it becomes easier for the voter to find the booth.
- Along with this, what improvements have been made in the system of depositing EVMs?
An attempt has been made to organize this. One often had to pass through long lines, now EVMs and material can be deposited in two storage centers at a certain place. This will provide relief from the chaos that is often seen.
- What is new feature of queue management?
Booths have been made even in places with less voters. Arrangements have been made for voting in desert and high altitude areas. Apart from this, seeing the number of voters in each queue at the polling booths, an attempt has been made to make the voting easier by placing voters behind in the queue with fewer voters from the one where there are more voters.
