Cardio surgery gives boy new life
Jaipur: A Class 11 student Daksh, suffering from chronic cardiopulmonary thromboembolism disease, got a new lease of life after a surgery to remove many blood clots from his heart and lungs. Cardiac surgeon Dr. Sunil Kaushal performed successful surgery with new cardiopulmonary thrombo and artery rectomy surgical technique.
During diagnosis it was found that old and new blood clots had accumulated not only in his right heart but also in the great vein leading to the lungs and in the veins deep inside the lungs, said Dr. Sunil Kaushal. The patient is now doing well after 48 hours of ventilator and special drug support. The chronic cardiopulmonary thromboembolism diseases is considered to be a rare disease.
