BJP, Congress please gods to ensure victory in by-polls
Jaipur: With just two days left for voting on the post of mayor in Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater, councillors of both the parties are pleasing the Gods for their victory. The councillors of BJP in Chomu Palace recited the Sunderkand, while the Congress councillor recited Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesday. The Congress councillors playing games like antakshari and cricket and spending time in the swimming pool for two days in the hotels were seen doing yoga and reciting Hanuman Chalisa. BJP MLA and state spokesperson Ramlal Sharma took a jibe at the Congress for reciting Hanuman Chalisa. He said, “This is the same Congress which never believed in the existence of Ram. Today, they have to accept both Ram and Hanuman.” He said that Congress will now have to adopt Sanatan culture to save itself. The victory of the BJP candidate looks certain because the party has more votes than the majority. To win, the candidate needs 74 votes out of 146, while the BJP has 93 councillors
