‘Atal Knowledge Centres in every gram panchayat’
Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma announced establishment of Atal Knowledge Centres in every gram panchayat of State on the occasion of Good Governance Day, commemorating the birth centenary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on Wednesday at an event in BJP HQ. CM said that these centres will be established in phases to provide training and awareness to youth. Local men and women will be selected as Atal Preraks for these centres, creating new employment opportunities for rural youth. He said that libraries and e-libraries would be developed at these centres to support rural youth in self-study, preparation for competitive exams, and promoting a reading culture among the general public.
Career counselling services will also be made available at these centres. He said state govt would spend over `500 crore on developing these centres. CM Sharma also said govt has decided to hold Atal Jan Seva Camps at each Panchayat Samiti headquarters today. “Additionally, the government has renamed the e-Governance Award as the Atal e-Governance Award and decided to name computer rooms in government schools as Atal Computer Rooms,” added Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
