Another tigress sighted with 4 cubs in Sariska
Jaipur: The roar of 40 tigers can now be heard in Sariska, which was devoid of tigers in recent times. In 2008, the tiger rehabilitation program was started in Sariska that helped the number reach 40. In the last three months, three tigresses have given birth to 10 cubs. First ST-12 gave birth to four cubs, then ST-27 delivered two cubs and on Thursday tigress ST-22 was also seen with four cubs.
First India News was the first to broadcast the news about the cubs. Sariska being populated with tigers proves the importance of the displacement of villages from the core area. The tigresses have chosen the same places to give birth to cubs where villagers once lived and now there is a strong grassland there. As per Chief Wildlife Warden Pawan Upadhyay this is result of better work in tiger conservation. Meanwhile, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also tweeted welcoming new guests (cubs) to Sariska.
