An unusual tale of a ‘halwai’ who awaits MLA’s nod to prepare sweets
Jaipur: With the final date for the formation of the State Cabinet not being announced yet, several confectioners are now upset as they are still waiting to get a huge order to prepare a variety of delicacies from the MLAs, who would get inducted into the Cabinet. People close to the leaders had already given orders to the confectioners to prepare an array of dishes. An interesting story of an MLA has come to light in this regard. The MLA was suddenly told that he would become a Minister and he also made several rounds of Delhi from Jaipur.
The MLA booked a confectioner for December 26. The confectioner also ordered 40 kg of ‘Mawa’ and finalised the preparations to make ‘Gulab Jamuns.’ By the evening he asked the ‘Netaji’, “By when should I prepare the sweets? The MLA called up the confectioner late in the evening saying, “Just wait for a day or two.”
Frustrated by this, the confectioner said, “Now what to do with this ‘Mawa?’” Finally, it was kept in a refrigerator and the confectioner got the new date of December 29. Now, people are speculating that the Cabinet formation can take place on December 29 and the ‘Halwai’ is awaiting the nod to use the 40 kgs of ‘Mawa!’
