ACS asks officials to file FIR for negligent digging of out roads

Jaipur: ACS (PHED) Dr Subodh Agarwal on Wednesday held a meeting over drinking water management during the summer season. During the meeting, Dr Agarwal said that an FIR should be lodged against the concerned contractor carrying out the work in case of breaking of line during excavation work around drinking water supply line.

Also, action should be taken against those involved in theft of water. “Due to negligence in digging of roads, water supply lines often break and thousands of litres gets wasted. In such a situation, FIR should be registered against the concerned company,’ said Dr Agarwal. The ACS also asked to take strict action with the cooperation of the police and the administration by adopting the policy of zero tolerance in cases related to assault on engineers and employees of the PHED.
