ACB nabs ASI & middleman taking bribe of Rs 50k in Jaipur

Jaipur: The ACB Jaipur unit-III on the directions of ACB headquarters arrested assistant sub inspector of Khoh Nagoriyan police station Balbir Singh and his middleman Keshav Singh (private person) red handed taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 on Wednesday.

ACB DG Dr Ravi Prakash Meharda said that on the complaint of a complainant that accused investigation officer Balbir was demanding Rs 1 lakh through his middleman Keshav for not taking any action in a case registered against the complainant and his brother.

The team after verifying the complaint arrested Keshav taking a bribe of Rs 50k and also arrested ASI Balbir. While searching the house of Balbir in the police station premises Rs 1.82 lakh cash was recovered and he could not give any satisfactory reply about it. The accused are being inquired and further investigation will be done by lodging a case.
