ACB files one more case against XEN Lakhara
Jaipur: The ACB has registered a disproportionate assets case against the former Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department – Chittorgarh Rajendra Prasad Lakhara.
An investigation revealed that Lakhara’s income exceeded his legal earnings by 116.08 percent. This development comes after ACB had apprehended Lakhara on July 12 this year for accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh from a complainant, Ravindra Sharma, in exchange for approving the bills of his firm.
ACB official Vishnaram stated that from February 22, 1995, to July 14, 2023, Lakhara amassed assets totaling Rs 5.20 crore. After accounting for expenditures of Rs 58.37 lakh, the net assets amounted to Rs 5.78 crore, which is 116.08 percent more than his legitimate earnings.
