ACB busts fake NoC racket for organ transplant in lieu of money
Jaipur: Exposing corruption in giving NOC for organ transplant, the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday arrested an assistant administrative officer of SMS hospital (Gaurav Singh), coordinator of EHCC hospital (Anil Joshi) and transplant coordinator of Fortis hospital (Vinod Singh) while exchanging fake NOC in lieu of Rs 70,000. With this, total of 3 people were arrested by ACB.
The assistant administration officer of the SMS hospital Gaurav Singh, who was giving the NOC to the private hospital for organ transplant, was suspended. At the same time, the EHCC hospital also suspended its organ transplant coordinator Anil Joshi and started an internal inquiry. Meanwhile, a meeting was called by ACS of the Medical and Health Department, Shubhra Singh. In the meeting, she instructed officials to take immediate action in case of giving fake NOC for organ transplant by taking bribes.
She also asked the high level committee to investigate the matter and submit the report within 15 days. To ensure that there was no irregularity in this work, the department had taken suo motu cognizance and requested ACB to investigate it. She said that government is completely serious regarding this issue.
