9 cases of govt land worth over Rs 5 cr pending in courts in Jaipur
Jaipur: Jaipur District Collector has reported nine court cases involving government lands valued at over Rs 5 crore.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) had sought information from all district collectors through the Revenue Department regarding such cases across the state. In response, the Jaipur District Collector has provided details on these nine cases, including the court name, case title, land Khasra number, total area, land value (according to DLC rates), and the current status of each case.
Estimating the value of these lands has proven challenging for the administration.
The move to seek details from the collectors is part of the state government’s broader effort to address complaints and the growing backlog in the courts. Recent complaints have been directed at the Jaipur Divisional Commissioner, alleging that some cases involving government land have improperly benefited private individuals. 5 of the 9 cases of government land worth more than five crores is in Jaipur tehsil.
