8 -year experience in UDH a ‘boon’ for Maneesh?

Jaipur: A few interesting facts have cropped up regarding Maneesh Goyal, the JS of UDH Department, whose name has cropped in the Udaipur Rs 12 lakh graft case. This senior RAS of 1997 batch has cooped in the UDH for a long time. On October 23, 2019, this official was posted in UDH as Joint Secretary and since then he is working in the department.

This is also an all time record for continuously holding of the chair of JS by an official. In the past three and a half years, the DoP has issued half a dozen RAS transfer lists and most of the officials have been reshuffled. But surprisingly, Maneesh has never been ‘touched’.

Importantly, during this time, two Principal Secretaries have been changed in the department and several junior officers have also been changed, but the JS has not been changed. Word is that Maneesh has taken a senior official in confidence and Maneesh has complete control over the working of the department.

It is worth noting that Maneesh, in the past, has served as Additional Director and Deputy Director in LSG for five years. Thus, he has an eight year experience of Urban Administration and he is adept in dealing with the files of the departments. Word is that it is because of this ‘capability’ he has approach till the highest levels.
