721 leopards adorning Raj: Minister Yadav releases report
Jaipur: Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav released the Leopard Status Report in the NTCA meeting. The number of leopards in the country is large and Rajasthan also ranks sixth in the country with 721 leopards. The state’s Project Leopard was started from Jhalana in Jaipur where there are 40 to 45 leopards at present. It has been revealed in the report that the population of leopards has increased in the country to 13,874 as compared to 12852 in the year 2018.
