Jaipur: The state govt has announced whopping Rs 40,000 increment of salary and allowances to chairman and vice-chairman of various boards, corporations and commissions with the status of cabinet ministers and ministers of state. The hike is 52%. The Cabinet Secretariat issued orders on Tuesday. Earlier, the hike was effected during the BJP rule on December 7, 2017.

The salary of the chairpersons with the status of cabinet ministers has been increased from Rs 45,000 to Rs 65,000 per month and hospitality allowance status from Rs 34,000 to Rs 55,000. This amount was earlier a total of Rs 79,000, which has now increased to Rs 1.20 lakh every month.

The salary of the chairpersons having the status of minister of state has been increased from Rs 42,000 to Rs 62,000 and hospitality allowance from Rs 34,000 to Rs 55,000. This amount was earlier a total of Rs 76,000 and now has been hiked to Rs 1.17 lakh. 26 chairpersons of 26 boardcorporations have status of MoS, 3 have status of cabinet mins.
