38.67 lakh cases disposed off in 1st Lok Adalat of 2023
Jaipur: Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court MM Srivastava inaugurated the second National Lok Adalat of 2023 on the premises of Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur on Saturday. Justice Srivastava said that Lok Adalats are an important part of the legal system where speedy resolution of cases is done. He said that in 2022, 45,72,315 cases were settled, setting a new record. In the first Lok Adalat of 2023, 38,67,694 cases were disposed off.
Justice Srivastava said that Lok Adalat will be organized through online and offline mediums in all subordinate courts, revenue courts, consumer forums, and other administrative tribunals, including the Jodhpur and Jaipur benches of the Rajasthan HC.
There has been disposal of 38,67,694 cases through compromise in a single day. A total of Rs 14 billion 54 crore 22 lakh 63 thousand 15 awards were passed, informed RALSA member secretary Pramil Kumar Mathur.
