2023 Assembly polls: Org changes in BJP State Unit on cards

Jaipur: Ahead of the 2023-Assembly elections in Rajasthan, organisational changes in the BJP’s State unit are on the cards. The State leadership of BJP may replace 14 District Presidents and Presidents of several fronts and cells. The party sources said that many of the District Presidents, who are preparing to contest the elections themselves have offered to leave the post. The issue has been discussed with the Party High Command and the State leadership. By the Assembly elections-2023 and Lok Sabha elections-2024, BJP wants to prepare such a team in the State, which can remain active and fulfill the responsibility of the party organisation only. According to sources, a list of such leaders and workers is being prepared, who do not wish to contest the Assembly or Lok Sabha elections, have a strong hold and recognition among the workers and can spare full time for the party during the elections for the next two years. Preliminary work has also been done on this. The BJP State President Dr Satish Poonia will soon make changes in the organisation after talking to the State in-charge Arun Singh. With this move in place, many inactive office bearers will also be removed.
