190 newly-elected members of State Legislative Assembly take oath
Jaipur: The newly elected members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Wednesday took oath on the first day of 2-day Assembly session.
On the first day of the first session of the 16th Legislative Assembly, 190 out of 199 members took oath. Congress legislators had come to House wearing black ribbons on arms in protest against suspension of MPs in LS and RS. While most of the members took oath in Hindi, some of them, including Zubair Khan of Cong & Yoonus Khan, an independent, took oath in Sanskrit. MLAs who were absent will be administered oath today. Congress MLA Govind S Dotasra raised issue of suspension of MPs in Parliament, but Pro-tem speaker did not allow him.
