18 SEATS STUCK DUE TO TUG-OF-WAR WITHIN BJP

1. HANUMANGARH: BJP is looking for a new face here. Dr Ram Pratap, who was a Minister in previous govt, lost here by more than 15,000 votes.

2. SARDARSHAHAR: Being a Cong stronghold, BJP is preparing to bet on an outsider.

3. SUJANGARH: BJP lost this seat in by-polls after 2018. Ex- min Khemaram is main contender but party is looking for a new face.

4. CIVIL LINES: Ex- Min Arun Chaturvedi is Sangh’s favorite, but seat is on hold to settle equations on other seats.

5. KISHANPOL: Due to equal strength of Muslim and Hindu voters, BJP is looking for a face here who can make a dent in the Muslim votes also. The name of ex- Mayor Jyoti Khandelwal, who joined BJP, is being discussed.

6. ADARSH NAGAR: Former BJP State Prez Ashok Parnami has been a two-time MLA. Party wants a new face.

7. BHARATPUR: BJP wants to gamble on the leader of Vaishya community here as the ticket is on hold due to factionalism of BJP.

8. BARI: On this seat also, BJP is busy in solving equations. The former candidate is contesting on BSP ticket. GS Malinga, who became MLA from Cong, is said to be in touch with BJP leaders.

9. RAJAKHERA: Considered to be Cong’s traditional seat, party wants to announce tickets together by creating caste equations in Bari, Rajkhera.

10. MASUDA: Suspended former MLA Sushil Kanwar Palara from BJP is demanding ticket from BJP for his son Shivraj Singh Palada. Due to this, the equations are complicated here.

11. SHERGARH: BJP has put forward different names for this seat on behalf of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Due to this, it is on hold.

12. SHEO: BJP is considering the name of Ravindra Singh Bhati for this seat, but local organizations are against it. The seat is on hold due to opposition from the youth wing of BJP.

13. BARMER: BJP is considering the strategy of fielding Union Minister of State Kailash Choudhary on this seat, which has become a stronghold of Congress. The seat is held in this confusion.

14. PACHPADRA: BJP’s Amra Ram Choudhary is the natural candidate on this seat. But due to his age being beyond 75, the matter is still stuck.

15. MAVLI: Dharmanarayan Joshi is the BJP MLA from here. There is talk of BJP State President CP Joshi contesting elections on this seat. At the last moment, the party can field him from this Brahmin dominated seat.

16. PIPALDA: BJP is waiting for the announcement of Congress candidate from this seat. If Congress again gives ticket to Ramnarayan Meena from here, then BJP can field a Brahmin here on the basis of caste.

17. KOTA NORTH: Here the tickets of both Congress and BJP are with the party high commands. The decision regarding Minister Shanti Dhariwal has to be taken by the Congress High Command. The BJP High Command also has to take a decision regarding Prahlad Gujnal.

18. TODABHIM: The last election from this seat was won by Prithviraj of Congress by 73,306 votes. Here BJP is looking for a winning candidate. Efforts are being made to establish an equation with an outside leader.
