Shekhawat’s lawyer questions maintainability of CM’s petition
New Delhi: GS Shekhawat’s lawyer also protested against Gehlot’s petition filed under Section 256 and raised questions on the maintainability of the petition during the hearing of the case on Thursday.
Shekhawat’s lawyer said that the accused appeared in court on first summons issued by court, then the accused appeared in court on all the dates. In such a situation, there is no longer any justification for petition filed by the accused under Section 256. Shekhawat’s lawyer said that if the accused appears on summons order, he can’t demand acquittal later & there has been a delay on part of Gehlot’s lawyers in starting the trial.
