Rs 19.65 cr GST evasion detected in Bhiwadi

Jaipur: The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) Jaipur Regional Unit has successfully exposed a significant fraud involving the issuance of fake bills through bogus firms to fraudulently claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) under the GST laws. Acting on a secret tip, DGGI officers not only detected a GST evasion of more than Rs 19.65 crore but also persuaded the operators of the fraudulent firm to admit their wrongdoing and immediately deposit Rs 5 crore from their cash ledger. After the raid, a portion of misused GST amount was recovered.
