NEP 2020 will empower children with skills, says V-P
Jhunjhunu: Addressing the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kajra, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, on the occasion of World Children’s Day, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, “All of you are the backbone of rural India. Remember, the soul of India lies in the rural areas. Our roots are strong in rural India. Our food provider farmers also live in rural areas.” He said that through institutions like Panchayat Raj and Nagar Palika, India has strengthened democracy at the grassroots level.
Praising the National Education Policy 2020, the Vice- President called it a ‘game-changer.’ He said, “After three decades, India has got a new education policy which aims to free students from the burden of only books and degrees and make them skilled. This policy will help India to establish itself as a developed India by 2047.”
While making the students aware of the environment, he urged them to plant trees in the name of their grandparents. The Vice- President said, “When you go out of this school, you should show such exemplary conduct that will enhance the glory of this school.”
In the end, the VicePresident wished the children for their bright future and praised the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
