Mahendra Choudhary to take on Joshi’s mantle in Assembly?

Although, it is not a major issue, nonetheless, it is an issue that warrants attention and addressal, immediately.
The budget session of the Rajasthan assembly will start from next month. However, prior to the session the state government will have to decide on a new face for the position of Chief Whip.
This is due to the fact that while till now Mahesh Joshi holds the charge of Chief Whip, but after cabinet expansion, when he was inducted in Gehlot cabinet and appointed as PHED Minister, he can carry out only one role, according to the one person, one post policy of Congress party.
Therefore, after being inducted in cabinet, Joshi will have to leave the position of Chief Whip and in all probability, deputy whip Mahendra Choudhary may be elevated to the position of Chief Whip.
