LOK SABHA GREENLIT DELHI SERVICES BILL
New Delhi: Lok Sabha on Thursday passed the bill to replace the ordinance for control of services in Delhi with Home Minister Amit Shah launching a sharp attack on parties of the INDIA bloc, saying that their priority is to “save their alliance”. Opposition leaders were also seen staging a walkout shortly after this.
Shah initiated the debate on the Delhi Services Bill, he accused the AAP of indulging in confrontation instead of governance. “It wants to control the vigilance department so that crores spent on the CM’s bungalow is not questioned,” HM said. He also attacked the opposition for supporting AAP and said “please don’t compromise the interests of people of Delhi to save your fledgling alliance.” Shah refuted allegations that Bill introduced by Centre breaches the Supreme Court judgment.
