Jolly vs Jolly: Arshad and Akshay will come together for Jolly LLB 3

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Jolly LLB came as a surprising underdog with an excellent script, a relevant topic and some top-notch performances. The film’s slow rise to becoming a cult classic then was expected, as it gave the audience something that they always crave, good content. After that came Jolly LLB 2 like a storm! It swept the audience off their feet with its incredible everything and of course, a power-packed Akshay Kumar. After that, all that audiences wanted was a face-off between the two Jollys. There were fan theories, speculations and rumours that Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar would come together on screen for another comedy-filled law drama.

Now, what seemed just like a dream, has become a possibility as makers have roped in both the Jollys for an incredible face-off. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will come together for Jolly LLB 3 which will be directed by Subhash Kapoor. Produced by Star Studios, the film will go on floors by next year.

“Subhash Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi have been toying with the idea of Jolly LLB 3 for a while now and things have fallen into place. Subhash has cracked a subject that warrants a face-off between the two Jolly’s. It’s hilarious with a very relevant topic for debate in the court of law,” a source close to the development revealed.

“The idea is to create the ambience of a big screen courtroom drama and hence, efforts have been taken to make it a multi-genre film, with the right blend of humour with drama and thrill. Finishing touches are being given to the script at the moment and the team will then move on to the pre-production stage. The idea is to take the film on floors in the first half of 2023,” the source added. This time, they will play parallel leads in the film.
