Ishaan Khatter finally opens up about her break up with Ananya Panday

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi are gearing up for their November release this year, Phone Bhoot. The horror-comedy that pays homage to the 1984 classic, Ghostbusters will bring the three in a new and fun light. The trio recently attended the tenth episode of Koffee with Karan and to say that it was chaotic would be an understatement. Being their best goofy selves, the team spilled some unshared beans on the koffee couch.

Ishaan Khatter was especially probed about his recent rumoured break up with his Khaali Peeli co-star, Ananya Panday. Karan asked the 26-year-old, “You broke up with Ananya recently?” Ishaan was quick to retort as he said, “Did I? Because you said she broke up with me recently. I am just saying that I watched that episode. You were rather mean to her.” A flustered Karan tried to cover up by saying, “No, I meant like both of them.” He continued, “Have y’all broken up, is that the status?”

Ishaan replied, “How does that matter, who broke up with whom?” Karan and Ishaan then agreed to the fact that the actor is single at the moment and recalled how flustered Ananya was when she was talking about Ishaan. But then speaking about his equation with her, Ishaan said, “I would love to have her as a friend for the rest of my life. She is one of the most wonderful people I have known. She is a sweetheart, she really is. All the pulpy questions aside, she is someone that’s very dear to me and will always remain so.”

Phone Bhoot starring Ishaan Khatter, Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi will be in theatres on November 4, 2022. After that, Ishaan Khatter will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar in the war film, Pippa which also stars Mrunal Thakur, Soni Razdan, Priyanshu Painyulli and more. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film is based on the 1971 war fought by India against Pakistan for the liberation of Bangladesh.
