INC spokesperson Prof Gourav Vallabh flays Dhami’s UCC move

Dehradun: On a day when Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami raised the issue of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) on the last day of campaigning for the state elections, Congress’ National Spokesperson Gourav Vallabh has said that the Congress will rather enact an employment code to generate new jobs for the youths.

On the last day of the election campaign on Saturday, Uttarakhand CM Dhami played the Uniform Civil Code card, retaliating it, Congress National Spokesperson Prof Gourav Vallabh countered BJP’s move with Anti Corruption and Employment Generator Code.

“We are of the opinion that we will make an anti-corruption code, we want to make an employment code, we want to make a code to generate employment,” Prof Vallabh said in response to CM Dhami’s statement.

The Congress Spokesperson said that Dhami had used all his tactics but he should be aware that the people who had committed corruption would have to go behind bars.

He said that those who had committed corruption in Kumbh Fair, illegal mining and other corruption would face the music once Congress forms the government in the state after the elections.
