‘FIRE CAN’T BURN KNOWLEDGE’
Nalanda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir, Bihar, on Wednesday. The new campus is near the ancient ruins of Nalanda University, which was established through the Nalanda University Act, 2010. This Act followed a decision made at the second East Asia Summit in the Philippines in 2007.
After inaugurating the new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir, PM said, “I am happy that I got the opportunity to visit Nalanda within 10 days after swearing in as PM for the third time.” “Nalanda is more than just a name, it’s a mantra, an identity, a declaration that books might get destroyed in fire, but knowledge persists. Nalanda’s reawakening, this new campus, will give world introduction to India’s capability,” he said.
Sharing his missions, Modi said that he wants to make the country a centre of education and knowledge for world.
