CNG tanker overturns in Chomu, driver booked
Chomu: Timely action by the police averted a major tragedy at Rampura culvert in Chomu when a CNG tanker overturned here late on Saturday. Meanwhile, the police have arrested the tanker driver and a case has been registered against him for negligent driving and endangering people’s lives. The accused driver, Rajendra Nath, was in an inebriated condition when the accident occurred.
Constable Puran saved the driver’s life by breaking the cabin glass. DCP Amit Budania praised his brave act. Jaipur (West) Police kept running around after the accident. ACP Ashok Chauhan reached the spot immediately and the traffic on both sides was diverted and the culvert was cleared. By the time things were brought under control, it was 4 am.
